With more than 50 million active users, it's surprising how few people know that it's easy to spy on Tinder messages. Read on to discover how it can be done.
Tinder is a mobile app that has come out of nowhere to dominate the global dating scene. It works by finding your location and creates a dating profile from the user’s Facebook photos and personal information. Then it finds potential matches for the user near their location and allows them to either like the match (swipe right) or reject them (swipe left). If the user’s match has also swiped them to the right, a match is established and messaging is enabled.
Tinder boasts more than 50 million users, who on average spend 90(!) minutes a day checking their matches and messaging. Easy to see why people would be curious about spying on Tinder users and Tinder messages.
We have researched the three most powerful ways for others to track and monitor your Tinder usage, so that you can take steps to protect yourself.
How They Can Spy On Tinder
1. mSpy Tinder Monitoring
mSpy is a powerful and inexpensive consumer spyware app.
Whether mSpy is installed on an Android phone or on an iPhone, it will display on the spy's dashboard the complete Tinder communications from that phone.
- Your profile settings, including your location, your desired age range and gender will be displayed
- All your Tinder messages are monitored on the mSpy dashboard
- All your Tinder conversations are presented in the dashboard
This is all insanely dangerous. You always have to make sure that your phone doesn't have commercial spyware installed on it. Check our guide to protect your phone from being tapped.
FlexiSPY, another consumer spyware vendor, has recently added a similar ability to mSpy’s Tinder tracker, but there are a couple of important differences.
First, FlexiSPY’s Tinder monitoring only works on Android and not on the iOS.
Second, FlexiSPY will display the Tinder messages in your user dashboard, but not the Tinder settings.
Protecting yourself from FlexiSpy is similar to protecting yourself from any other spyware: make sure that your phone is not being tapped.
Swipebuster is a different animal to the two options we discussed above. It’s not an application that should be installed on the monitor phone, but rather a paid web service that can tell anyone if a person they're looking for are on Tinder.
Note, that it cannot reveal you your Tinder messages or your settings. But it will show them your profile, which can be enough when they only want to know if you're active on Tinder.
Swipebuster is an inexpensive service that costs only $4.99 for 3 searches and $9.99 for 10 searches.
You enter their first name, age and location and Swipebuster will search for that person using Tinder’s publicly available database.
To protect yourself from Swipebuster, use Tinder under a different name and from a different Facebook account. See our guide for that.
With more than 50 million users Tinder is the most popular flirting/dating application in the world. But powerful commercial spyware like mSpy and FlexiSPY can let anyone spy on your Tinder messages and profile settings, while the Swipebuster service can reveal if you use the Tinder application on their mobile.
Stay safe, make sure that your phone is not spied on and possibly use Tinder not from your main Facebook account.
